Can anyone on this planet help me ? If you can, you are better than big old Microsoft. I even contacted Digital Persona and they told me that Microsoft has the software I need. HP Pavilion dv4z Notebook Digital Persona Fingerprint Reader Software 4.32 A for Windows 2000/Vista by HP free dowload at UserDrivers.Com. Microsoft support, nope (they sent me to their downloads page again). HP DigitalPersona Fingerprint Reader Software - HP DigitalPersona Fingerprint Reader Software - HP DigitalPersona Fingerprint Reader Software 5.1.0.175. I contacted Microsoft and they refered me to their downloads page.
Here's the problem there was no software to make the fingerprint reader work. Install DigitalPersona HP Retail Fingerprint Reader-By (WBF) driver for Windows 10 圆4, or download software for automatic driver installation and update.
No problem, I go to Microsoft Downloads and get the software to make the mouse and keyboard work. Windows Biometric Framework (WBF) drivers seem to be incompatible with the SDK. Select a driver that does not have the term 'WBF' in it.
Then Right Click > Update Driver > Browse my computer for drivers > Let me pick from a list of available drivers. I got everything home and set up to discover the software that came with the desktop doesn't work. Go to the Device Manager and locate the fingerprint device. There is even something on the box that says " The Microsoft Advantage Hardware Software Compatibility". I went with this desktop because I didn't want to run into problems with compatibility. I also purchased a Microsoft Desktop which includes an wireless optical mouse, and keyboard with fingerprint reader. My operating system is authentic Microsoft Product. I have a 64 bit Dual-Core Processor and am running Windows Vista 64 bit. I'm usually behind in the times but I wanted to be up to date this time.
